Cannabis Council of Canada (C3) Panel - Second Anniversary of Cannabis Legalization

OTTAWA, ON - The Cannabis Council of Canada (“C3”) is excited to announce a panel commemorating the passing of the Cannabis Act (Bill C-45), on the second anniversary of cannabis legalization in Canada, taking place on Friday October 16th at 3:00 PM (EST).

This event will begin with an interview with the Rt. Hon. Anne McLellan, Chair of the Task Force on Cannabis Legalization, moderated by George Smitherman, President and CEO of the Cannabis Council of Canada.

David Coletto, CEO of Abacus Data, will share insights into new polling on Canadians' perspectives on cannabis two years after legalization. C3 has partnered exclusively with The National Post's The GrowthOP, the premium destination for cannabis news and views, that will publish a Report Card of the polling results following the panel's culmination.

There will be a panel of cannabis thought leaders from the industry, social justice, marketing and medical backgrounds to engage in a discussion about their perspectives at the two-year mark of legalization, and their thoughts moving forward on legalization in Canada.

Join us for a panel moderated by David Coletto, with the following distinguished individuals, that represent a plurality of voices within the cannabis specter:

  • Tyler James, Community Outreach Coordinator at Cannabis Amnesty;
  • Gerald Major, Chair of Medical Cannabis Canada;
  • Abi Roach, Brand Manager of the Ontario Cannabis Store;
  • Rick Savone, Chair of the Cannabis Council of Canada, SVP Aurora.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the panel will take place virtually. Registration for the webinar (hosted via Zoom Video) is available at https://zoom.us/webinar/regist....

The Council looks forward to commemorating the anniversary of cannabis legalization together, this Friday October 16th, and remains committed to our values as the cannabis industry continues to grow.

The Council’s mission is to act as the national voice for our licensed producers (LPs) members in their promotion of industry standards; support the development, growth and integrity of the regulated cannabis industry; and serve as an important resource on issues related to the safe and responsible use of cannabis for medical and non-medical purposes.
